Local attorney Ashley M. Brodie has lived in Gray and Jones County the majority of her life. She only left for a short period of time to attend college at the University of Georgia and law school at Georgia State University.
Shortly after graduating from law school in 2006, Ashley returned home and opened the doors to her law office in Gray and has maintained a law office there ever since. Currently located in the old Bank of Gray at 103 Atlanta Rd, her Gray office is only one block away from the Jones County Courthouse. From this location, her office is accessible not only to residents of Gray, but to all residents of Jones County including those residing in Haddock, Juliette and Macon.
Her office aims to serve the residents of Gray and Jones County with a variety of legal needs such as divorce, family law and personal injury.

Located on the first floor of the Jones County Courthouse.
The office of the Clerk of Superior Court houses three divisions: Judicial (civil and criminal Records), Real Estate (real and personal properties), and Business/Administrative.
Probate Court Judge: Judge Lewis Patterson
Located on the first floor of the Jones County Courthouse.
The Jones County Probate Court exercises exclusive, original jurisdiction in the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians (minor and adult) and involuntary hospitalization of incapacitated adults and other individuals. Additionally, probate court judges administer oaths of office, issue marriage and firearms licenses.
Unless a jury trial is requested, probate court judges may also hear misdemeanors, traffic cases and violations of state game and fish laws in counties where there is no state court.
Chief Magistrate Judge: Judge Lewis Patterson
Located on the first floor of the Jones County Courthouse.
Magistrate Court, also known as small claims court, handles disputes under $15,000. Magistrate Court is an informal court where disputes can be resolved quickly and inexpensively.
Magistrate Court also hears pre-warrant applications and commitment hearings, determining whether there is enough probable cause to issue a warrant and bind a case over to Superior Court.
Municipal Court Judge: Judge Lewis Patterson
The Municipal Court Clerk’s Office is located inside the Gray Police Department building at 151 James Street, Gray, Georgia 31032. The clerk’s office can be reached at (478) 986-6431. Court is held at 109 James Street, Gray, Georgia 31032. It is located adjacent to Gray City Hall.
Municipal Court hears traffic citations, parking citations and violations of Gray city ordinances. Gray Municipal Court does not hear civil or small claims cases.
